National Chairman of the Board

The Georgia Chapter is proud to have had FIVE of its members elected to the highest National Office of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In 1979-80, the title of the office was changed from President to Chairman of the Board.

National Positions Held by Georgia Chapter Members

The Georgia Chapter is proud to have several members represented in positions of National importance:

• Rick Childs, FHFMA, held the position of Regional Executive for Region V in 2008-09.
  
  
• Cathy Dougherty, FHFMA, served on National HFMA's Revenue Cycle Forum from 2007 -2010.
  
  
• Tim Beatty has been named to the National "CoP" (Communities of Practice) Task Force on Medicare for HFMA.
  
  
• Richard Childs has been on the PFS Forums Advisory Council from 2001-2004, and is now the 2003-04 Chairperson for the PFS Forums Advisory Council and member of the National Advisory Council.
  
  
• Ginger E. Anspaugh, FHFMA served on the National Advisory Council and currently serves on the Regional Executive Council, representing Region 5. She served as Regional Executive-elect from June 1, 2002 until May 31, 2003, and her current term as Regional Executive, is from June 1, 2003 until May 31, 2004.

• Kathy S. London, FHFMA, served on the Board of Examiners - Specialty Group on Patient Financial Services.
  
  
• In 2000, Raymond A. Snead, FHFMA, served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Examiners - Specialty Group on Accounting and Finance in 2000.
  
  
• The CFO Forum Advisory Council had W. Larry Sims, FHFMA, represent the Georgia Chapter in 2000.
