Carmen Sessoms, FHFMA is currently employed by McKesson in Revenue Cycle Solutions Product Management. Carmen attended Emory University and Mercer University where she received a Bachelor of Arts (1987) and Master of Business Administration (1993). Carmen also spent 2 semesters abroad in Germany and received her German Language Certificate. Prior to joining McKesson, Carmen’s healthcare experience includes physician practice management, revenue cycle management within large healthcare organizations and consulting. She is also an advanced member of HFMA and the Revenue Cycle Forum. In addition she has served Georgia HFMA in several chairperson positions from Professional Development, Newsletter to CPAR. Carmen has served on the Board since 2002 and is currently President. Additional contributions include articles in the GA Scroll and as faculty at many Institutes. Carmen has received national recognition by achieving Certified Healthcare Financial Professional; Fellow HFMA; recipient of 3 Helen M. Yerger Awards; Follmer Bronze Merit; Silver Reeves Merit; Muncie Gold Merit; Gold Award of Excellence For Education; and the Medal of Honor. Recognitions in the Georgia Chapter include: CPAR; Advanced CPAR; runner up Sister Rose Margaret Schweers Most Valuable Member; two time recipient of Charles H. Anderson President’s Award; and Ann P. Longshore Distinguished Service Award. Carmen also serves on the Kappa Kappa Gamma (KKG) Atlanta Alumnae Association board and reviews KKG Foundation scholarship applications. She lives in Alpharetta with her husband, Jean-Claude Sessoms and sons, Giovanni and Martin.

Bill Eikost has been an active member of the Georgia Chapter of HFMA since 1989. He currently serves the Georgia Chapter as President - Elect . He served as Program Chair from 2008 to 2009, Treasurer from 2007 to 2008, Secretary 2006-07 and two terms on the Board of Directors. Bill was the Co-winner of the Ann P. Longshore Distinguished Service Award in 1998 and has won two Yerger Awards for outstanding performance in Education and Collaboration. He has served on and Chaired several committees with the Georgia Chapter.

For the past 19 years, Bill has worked for various outsourcing and A/R management companies in Georgia, providing accounts receivable solutions to customers throughout the Southeast and across the country. Bill is currently a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Health Industries Advisory Practice. Bill is responsible for developing and managing new business and existing client relationships for all lines of service within PwC's healthcare advisory practice.

In his spare time, Bill enjoys traveling, golf, coaching youth sports, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Jan have been married for 20 years and live in Powder Springs, Georgia with their two boys, Zachary(13) and Avery(11) and their dog Zoe.

Karen Newton serves as Director of Third Party Reimbursement for Clinton A. Harkins, PC. Karen began her healthcare career at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga. She has held the position of Admission Supervisor at Northside Hospital, Manager of Patient Accounts at Crawford Long Hospital and Director of Transitional Hospital Corporation Centralized Business Office responsible for nine (9) Long Term Acute Care Facilities located in the Eastern half of the United States. Karen has been active with Georgia HFMA for 17 years serving on the Managed Care committee, Chairing the PFS and Physician Practice Management Forum and Chairing the CPAR committee. Karen served as the Georgia Chapter Treasurer and currently is Program Chair. Karen is the recipient of the Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver and Muncie Gold Merit Award and the 2008 –2009 President’s Award.

Cynamin Kinard is the Patient Access Director at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA, where she has been employed for 17 years. She is a Certified Patient Accounts Representative (CPAR), and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Shorter College. She has been a member of Georgia Access Management Association (GAMA) where she served as President for two years, 2002-2004.

Cynamin has been active in Georgia HFMA serving as a Joint Chairperson for the Education and Logistics’ Committee’s (2003-2006), a Joint Chairperson for the 2007 Dixie Committee, Secretary, and as Treasurer. Cynamin has received the Ann P. Longshore Distinguished Service Award and National HFMA’s Bronze Medal of Honor Founders Award. Also, she is a recipient of the Georgia Chapter’s Charles H Anderson President’s awards (2003-2004 and 2006-2007).

Pat is the Director, Business Development with Blackstone Resources, a Revenue Cycle Staffing Company.

Pat has more then 30 years of operational and consulting experience in health care management. She has been a member of HFMA since 1982, chairing several TEAMS committees including Registration, Education Logistics, Membership, Membership Retention, Membership Recruitment, Outreach and TEAMS Liaison to the President. Pat served previously on the Georgia HFMA Board in 2003-2005. She is an Advanced Member and the 1995 recipient of the Ann P. Longshore Distinguished Service Award, and she received runner up for the Ann P. Longshore award 2007-2008. Pat has also received the Follmer Bronze Award, the Reeves Silver Award, Muncie Gold Merit Award and the Medal of Honor Award. She was awarded Most Valuable Member, 1st Runner Up for 2006-2007. Pat is currently serving as Secretary, 2009-2010, for the Georgia Chapter of HFMA and writes Chapter Chatter for the Georgia Scroll.

Susan Clark, FHFMA, CPA has been a member of HFMA since 1994. In 2002, she received her CHFP and FHFMA. Susan currently serves the Georgia Chapter as Immediate Past President. She has also served in the positions of President, President-Elect, Program Chair, Treasurer (2 terms), Board Member, Chairperson of the Education Content and Education Logistics Committees, DCMS Secretary, and member of the Education and Pro-action Committees. She is an Advanced Member of Georgia HFMA and has received the Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver, Muncie Gold and Medal of Honor Founders Awards. In addition, Susan has been awarded both the Ann P. Longshore Distinguished Service Award and the Charles H. Anderson President’s Award for her service to the Chapter.

Susan is currently a Tax Senior Manager with the accounting firm of Pershing Yoakley & Associates PC in Atlanta. She received her BBA in Accounting (1989) and MAcc in Taxation (1990) both from the University of Georgia. Susan is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the AICPA, and the Georgia Society of CPAs. Susan has 19 years experience in tax accounting and reporting. She works primarily with tax-exempt and healthcare organizations and is experienced in unrelated business income tax, tax-exempt status, and tax-exempt reporting issues
