Controller
Lawrenceville, GA

The Gwinnett Hospital System is a single premiere healthcare provider which operates on two uniquely different campuses. The Lawrenceville Campus is currently seeking a Controller to be accountable for the organization and management of all financial matters. The Lawrenceville campus carries a licensure for 442 beds, which include Acute, Women's Pavilion and Long-Term Care Operations. The position provides financial management guidance for an overall operating budget of over $400 million dollars. The Controller will prepare current year operating and capital budgets consistent with requirements established in the Long Range Financial Plan. The Controller works collaboratively with the Lawrenceville Executive Leadership, the Lawrenceville Management Team and the GHS Corporate Staff.

Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related; Master's in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred. Must have at least 7 years’ experience at advanced professional level in Healthcare Finance. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Director or Senior Leader with managerial responsibility required.

Director of Finance
Duluth, GA

The Gwinnett Hospital System is a single premiere healthcare provider which operates on two uniquely different campuses. We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Director of Finance at our Gwinnett Medical Center Duluth location. The Duluth campus is licensed for 111 beds including an Acute and Inpatient Rehabilitation operation. The Director of Finance is accountable for organization and management of all financial matters for the Duluth campus. The position provides financial management and guidance for an overall operating budget with over $140 million in Net Patient Revenue and over $105 million in Operating expenses. The Financial Director works collaboratively with Duluth Executive Leadership, the Duluth Management Team, and the Gwinnett Hospital System Corporate Staff. The Financial Director will provide financial analysis, operational efficiency improvements, and internal controls in a manner consistent with system policies, procedure, and compliance guidelines as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Tax Regulations and Federal/State laws.

Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related degree; a Master's in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration is preferred. Director of Financial Planning

The Director, Financial Planning, reports to the VP, Strategic Planning, and is charged with driving result-oriented leadership and direction to the financial planning function at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. A proven track record of leadership, strong communication and financial translation skills, expansive financial analysis and feasibility assessment and execution of complex financial strategy development is critical for this role.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing a model and toolkit for 10-year, 5-year and immediate business planning needs
• Implementing and managing a technology platform for financial planning
• Leading the development of short- and long-term strategic financial plans
• Creating financial pro formas underpinning plans
• Performing financial analyses and providing key insights to management
• Ensuring all assumptions link to budgets, long-range plans and financial operations
• Supporting the development of service line and system plans
• Providing data for all new business analyses

To qualify, you must have a bachelor’s degree in finance or another business-related field, 10-15 years of financial planning experience and previous healthcare experience within a hospital. Experience leading strategic/financial projects as a consultant is also required. Our ideal candidate will be a certified public accountant with a master’s degree in business administration (emphasis in finance).

As a teaching facility for the University of Alabama-Birmingham’s School of Medicine and Family Practice Residency Program, Huntsville Hospital helps train family physicians for communities throughout Alabama and beyond. In addition, the hospital serves as a primary site for more than 50 national drug research projects.

We are currently seeking the following professional to join our team in the following role:

Compliance Auditor

The preferred candidate performs audits of clinical documentation and applicable industry standard codes by analyzing medical records and patient bills and validating clinical documentation; assessing the level of coding; determining compliance with appropriate regulations; assessing the effectiveness of charge capture processes, especially as it pertains to the Charge Description Master; and evaluating the timeliness and appropriateness of billing procedures.

Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Health Information Management, Nursing, Accounting or Health Administration. May consider an Associates degree with considerable applicable experience. CCS required.
Preferred certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CHC, CHC-F or credentialed as a RN.
Extensive experience using ACL is highly desired.
