Hemophilia of Georgia is looking for a Director of Managed Care to develop and implement managed care strategies to ensure the agency’s pharmacy is an in-network provider with health plans, employer groups and governmental agencies. Qualifications:

Position Summary:
The Charge Master Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity of Charge Master and related processes. Responsibilities:

  • Works with coding personnel to ensure that the codes on the Charge Master are accurate and current.
  • Coordinates all changes made to the Charge Master.
  • Champions all charge capture processes and related activities and ensures that all chargeable procedures and items are completely and accurately captured.
  • Coordinates the synchronization between the Charge Master and all charge capture systems and mechanisms (Order Communications, Charge Sheets, Ancillary Systems, etc.).
  • Studies, reports and makes recommendations relative to compliance concerns.
  • Facilitates periodic comprehensive reviews and ongoing refinement of the Charge Master for a designated hospital.
  • Works with clinical departments in maintaining and reviewing the Charge Master on a recurring basis.
  • Works with all personnel involved in the provisions of services, documentation, charging, claims submittal and reimbursement relative to Charge Master interfaces and optimization of the process.
  • Review results of periodic audits and take appropriate action as indicated.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or other applicable field or 5 years related experience or training or equivalent combination.
  • Knowledge of hospital and Medicare coding and billing guidelines is required, including, but not limited to, usage of medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS, various prospective payments systems and applicable federal and local regulations.
  • Accreditation/certification AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CPC-H, CCS, CCS-P) is preferred.
  • Clinical experience in areas Material Management, or other clinical areas is preferred
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees.
