“Modernizing Patient Access, Let Automation Work For You!"
Thursday August 21
10:00- 11:30am ET
SUMMARY:
More than ever, the complexity of insurance benefits and the variability in reimbursement with each payer are making revenue cycle operations management very challenging. When most of the required billing elements on a UB92/04 claim originate at the point of access, any errors create reimbursement delays and re-work. Collecting and entering the correct information, and verifying third party coverage at pre-registration/registration is vital to an efficient revenue cycle. It has become imperative for hospitals to leverage new technology to improve front end effectiveness, and increase the opportunity to collect more from third party payers and patients. This session will discuss the importance of a strong QA program and eligibility verification process to improve claims management, accelerate revenue and improve the overall bottom line. It will also demonstrate how technology can help you identify and correct patient registration errors prior to claim drop to reduce claims on hold and denials, and create reports to monitor staff and identify areas for training.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Learn ways to measure and report a positive return on investment for QA technology and eligibility systems
- Discover best practices for implementing a front end QA tool and real time eligibility system
- Understand how technology can be used to measure and educate registration staff, including registration areas that do not report to revenue cycle

Do you and your staff know how to ask for money and open the door?
