Advanced Charge Capture:
Clinical to Charge System Reconciliation

Tue, Mar 26, 2019 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM EDT

Correctly generating charges is one of the most important aspects of a hospital’s financial health, and today’s reality of complex clinical to charge system linkages in modern EHR platforms means that the integrity of your hospital’s charges is no longer a function of only the chargemaster. In this educational webinar, Craneware’s Elaine Dunn will outline an approach to reconciling your hospital's clinical and charge system linkages, validating the accuracy between an order and what is ultimately reported on the patient account, and identifying common errors in your clinical system and CDM that prevent charge integrity.

Elaine Dunn, DHA, RRT, RPSGT, CPCO – Vice President, Integration Services, Craneware - Elaine came to Craneware from a 21-hospital health system in the Midwest where she was the AVP of Revenue Integrity. Prior to that she was the Vice President of a large revenue cycle management firm in which she managed all operational aspects of the Clinical Revenue Cycle Service lines to include Product Development, Product Profitability, and Service Innovation. Elaine also spent a few years at a large IDN where she acted as a Direct Liaison for Physicians and Business Units for Information Technology Strategy Formulation and Implementation, and was responsible for technology tactics as part of the overall population health management plan for the health system. She has led the Implementation and Consulting Teams previously at Craneware as well. Elaine has 20 years of healthcare experience and holds a Doctorate in Health Administration. She is also a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, and a Certified Healthcare Professional Compliance Officer.
